The Witcher and You season 2 release date leaked: Here’s when they’re back on Netflix | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Fans of both the Netflix shows The Witcher and You are in luck as it seems Netflix have leaked the release dates of the two popular shows in one huge spoiler post.

Fans of The Witcher knew the show was set to return on 2019, but recent Twitter and Facebook posts by Netflix NL (Netherlands) revealed the show would premiere in just 97 days on Tuesday 17 December.

The very same post revealed You season 2 would also be on the site before the year is over, dropping on Monday December 30.

The posts have now been deleted and dates could change before the official announcement.

However, it seems as though fans are in for an actions-packed December with two popular shows releasing a second outing so close together.

Fans of You have been desperate to see if serial killer Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley) will get his comeuppance after murdering Beck (Elizabeth Lail) in the chilling show.

Moreover, the return of his ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) in the season finale left fans on a shocking cliffhanger.

Candace was presumed dead after Joe seemingly killed her for having an affair with her record producer Elijah (Esteban Benito).

Could she expose Joe and get justice for Beck?

Moreover, The Witcher is set to be equally eventful as there is set to be a major character change next season.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich recently spoke out abut the next season at San Diego Comic-Con.

The showrunner revealed Superman actor Henry Cavill, will play Geralt of Rivia in the next outing of the Netflix hit.

Moreover, he will be very different to the Geralt fans met in the books.

She revealed: “One of the things that probably shifted the most once we cast Henry is Geralt speaks a lot less than I initially intended.

“In the books, Geralt’s actually quite chatty, he talks a lot.”

However, where the Geralt of the books is ‘chatty’, it seems like the Netflix version will be grunty.

Hissrich continued: “What I found though is on-screen, especially with Henry portraying him, a lot can be done just in looks and grunts.

“Henry’s a big grunter, I mean that in the best way possible.

“It’s kind of amazing what’s accomplished in silence and that makes him that much more powerful of a character.”

The Witcher season 2 premieres on Netflix December 17.

You season 2 premieres on Netflix December 30.
