Money Heist plot hole: Fans rage as huge Professor blunder is uncovered | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Money Heist’s mastermind “The Professor” (played by Álvaro Morte) has always been a fan favourite and of course has been the criminal mastermind behind the entire heist at the Royal Mint of Spain. While the heist has had it’s hiccups, The Professor has largely been known for his incredible attention to detail as the show’s biggest perfectionist. Now, one fan has picked up on a plot hole which could change everything viewers know about the corrupt genius.

The Professor has been seamlessly pulling the stings being the heist for some time now, ensuring everything goes to plan.

The character is even know to lose his temper should any of the heist members do anything against protocol.

However, it seems he made a fatal error in a plot hole fans may have missed.

Fans were devastated to see the perfect Professor slip up, with one fan taking to Reddit to share their disappointment.

After the heist, the Police reveal the professor left some prints on the car, revealing: ”the fingerprints on the car match that on the spoon”.

Reddit user EnvironmentalFun9 wrote: “Please tell me I’m missing something about this.

“Man’s literally wearing gloves as he enters and exploits the police car radio.

“As far as I can see, this is so sad for the show, because not only is it a plot hole, it’s an unforgivable one, as it breaks down the very essence of the Professor as a character, whom takes every precaution necessary to ensure success.

“Even known to the crew (and audience) as being meticulous, he achieves being completely untraceable, undocumented, and an uncatchable ghost, with no fingerprints, ID, criminal record or etc.

“There is absolutely no way he gets fingerprints on that car, because if he did, it A): retcons the visual storytelling of what actually happened here; B): it destroys everything the audience is told to understand about the professor’s character; C) it ruins the show.”

However, on a recent re-watch, some fans have figured out how his prints could be found in the car.

Another user commented: “Well his glove torn a little bit when he was unlocking the car door, but I think the confusion should be about how a smart man like Professor didn’t care about a small detail like this and continued with an exposed finger!”

Jumping to the Professor’s defence, another user added: “In all fairness, if you’ve ever used those gloves, you simply don’t recognise the difference since they’re so thin.”

Meanwhile, fans have picked up on another plot hole.

What’s the real age gap between Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) and Rio (Miguel Herrán)?

It’s no secret that Tokyo is a fair few years older than Rio, but her exact age is pretty uncertain among the fandom.

Reddit user iReturnVidyatapes posted: “How much older was Tokyo supposed to be compared to Rio?

“Because for some reason I keep on thinking the subtitles suggested she was 15 years older than him, but also suggested she was 28? Which would make Rio 13… that can’t be right… how old was she?”

Other users seem convinced she is 15 years older than her former lover, but make him a few years older, at college age. /showbiz/tv-radio/1232728/Money-Heist-plot-hole-Tokyo-Rio-blunder-breakup-age-bank-of-spain-hostages-netflix
