After going missing for nearly two days in a rugged wooded area of Northern California, two young sisters were found safe on Sunday with help from their 4-H outdoor survival training.
Boot prints and granola bar wrappers helped a search team find the girls, ages 5 and 8, 1.4 miles south of their home on Sunday morning. Caroline and Leia Carrico were last seen Friday afternoon outside their Benbow home about 200 miles northwest of Sacramento, said Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal.
“This has been unbelievable,” Honsal said at a press conference. “We could not have a better outcome than we’ve had this morning. This is an absolute miracle.”
Although dehydrated and cold, the girls were in good spirits, Honsal said.

This is bs, money and fame scam! How come no one is asking the girls how they made a fire? How come non of the searchers saw or smelled the fire, why did they not head to a road, when they must of been able to see car headlights?
