Megan (played by Gaynor Faye) was responsible for the car accident which put Emmerdale stalwart Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) sent to hospital.
She had been using her phone while driving and was scared to own up to her crimes on the ITV soap.
But the pressure of keeping it secret is mounting on her conscience and Megan is set to confess all to the police.
Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) already knows the truth but Megan tells him she’ll be speaking to the authorities.
However, on her way to do so, she comes across Eric and lets him know that she was the one responsible.
Megan wants to face the consequences but she may not have seen one of them coming.
Her daughter’s father Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) is livid when Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) tells him that Eliza (Kyrena Robinson) was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Jai confronts Megan over the incident and informs her that he will be keeping their daughter from then on.
But will she be able to change his mind about the whole thing?
It was newcomer Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) who got the blame for the incident.
Although, Eric later revealed in hospital he believed he was the one responsible as he admitted he’d been having hearing problems.
He told the investigating police officer: “This is my fault, no one else’s. I didn’t hear the car coming because I’m losing my hearing.”
It comes as David enlists the help of Ryan Stocks (James Moore) to install spyware on Jacob Gallagher’s (Joe-Warren Plant) laptop so he can see the youngster’s chats with Maya.
When the teen is at mum Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shaidi) house, he finds Maya’s passport as well as money and messages her to tell her what he’s found.
However, of course he doesn’t know his conversion is being monitored.
The pair plan to meet at the Cricket Pavilion and Maya eagerly waits to see Jacob.
However she will get a nasty shock when she sees David walking toward her instead.
The predator is then carted away in a police car, but is this really the end of Maya?
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
