Dancing On Ice 2019: Sylvain Longchambon reveals Jane Danson fainted over diet | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Jane has successfully made it through each Dancing On Ice round without having to compete in a skate off.

But her journey hasn’t been a completely smooth ride as the Coronation Street fainted on the day of a live show on February 3.

Although, she was able to bounce back quickly as she and Sylvain gave the skate their all on the ITV show.

Sylvain has now lifted the lid on the accident and why Jane ended up collapsing.

“She’s not been eating enough for the last couple of weeks. She’s been very busy at Corrie and training on the ice every day,” he told New! Magazine.

“We’ve often been training between 12pm and 3.30pm, which is when you would have your lunch.

“I know she’s been eating sandwiches and not the most healthy food. I think that didn’t help on [that] Sunday,” Sylvain continued.

Sylvain is the husband of former contestant and Jane’s colleague and friend, Samia Longchambon.

Another of the Corrie actresses’ co-stars Brooke Vincent said Jane was “lucky”.

Brooke took part in last year’s instalment of the contest where she finished as runner-up.

The Sophie Webster star said: “She is mega committed and mega excited so I’m excited for her. I know obviously what’s coming for her so it’s really exciting to see.

She added: “She’s so lucky because she’s really good friends with Samia and Sylvain, she’s got Sylvain there.

“Obviously he knows that side of things and Samia knows the other side of things, so it’s really really good that she’s got them both as a unit around her.”

The latest celeb to leave the ice is Gemma Collins who bowed out of the show on Sunday.

The reality star was in the skate off with cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, but all judges plumped to save Ryan.

Gemma appeared to take her exit well as she declared she “needed” to go.

Before leaving the show she announced: “I had fun!

“I did say tonight’s my night, and I’m just going to come out and have fun.”

However, when Holly Willoughby asked if she would return to the ice Gemma said “probably not”.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
