Food recall UK: Co-op and Lidl issue urgent food recall on meat and cereals – full list

Supermarkets have issued a new food recall notice on various food items including meatballs and meat. The shops affected in the latest recalls include the Co-op and and if customers have any of the recalled items, they are being urged to return the product as soon as possible.

Co-op is also recalling a food item over fear it may contain plastic.

The supermarket is recalling its British 12 Beef Meatballs because the possible presence of plastic makes the product unsafe to eat.

If customers have bought the meatballs, they should return them to a close Co-op store for a full refund.

The FSA said: “If you are shielding or otherwise unable to return the product to store, please contact the customer care line 0800 0686727 or email customer.careline@coop.co.uk.”

There are also a number of other food recalls currently in place.

SFC have recently recalled a number of batches of their chicken products sold in Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.

This has been put in place as salmonella has been found in some of the packs of chicken.

Salmonella can cause symptoms including sickness, abdominal cramps and fever.

SFC are recalling its Take-Home Boneless Bucket as well as its Chicken Poppets.
