Emmerdale spoilers: Graham Foster star speaks out on future on ITV soap | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Graham Foster (played by Andrew Scarborough) has been keeping a low profile recently, but it seems drama is heading his way. Emmerdale viewers have seen the businessman be Kim Tate’s (Claire King) trusty right hand man, but in recent weeks he has been pushed aside in favour of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Now, his secretive past with Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) is set to be explored further.

In upcoming scenes, Graham is going to be embroiled in a paternity dilemma when he questions whether or not he is Millie Tate’s biological father.

With the outcome yet to be revealed, the actor who plays Graham has spoken out about what is in store for his character in upcoming months.

And it seems he is going to have a huge change to the pace of his life.

Graham first appeared in the Dales back in 2017 in a scene with Charity (Emma Atkins) and Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

His official arrival was part of Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) uprising, when he thwarted Joe’s building plans and saved Wishing Well Cottage from demolition.

And since his initial appearance, he has done nothing but stir up and cause trouble.

But it seems the actor is wishing for a few quieter moments for the tormented businessman.

Andrew said: “Basically, I think he’s getting tired of Kim’s ways, and he’s tired of his own weak-will when it comes to Kim.

“I think as any character he’s looking for love and happiness, [something] more stable.

“I think he is a man who is always haunted, not just by his dead wife, SAS, private mercery, etc, [so he just] wants to rest,” the actor added.

Graham has had a turbulent life, and last year it was briefly explained to viewers.

Having served the British Army, participating in campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq, the work hard, play hard” forces attitude led him to develop a drinking problem.

To add to this, Graham was married to a woman named Cheryl, someone he didn’t love but felt duty bound to her because she was pregnant with his child.

In a special flashback episode, the soap explored how his wife and baby tragically died, and unfortunately this has had a devastating effect on his day to day life.

As a consequence, Graham has become withdrawn and understandably angry at the world.

But with the actor suggestion some down time for his character, will his storyline take a lighter turn?

As for whether or not Graham is Millie’s biological father, fans will hopefully find out next week.

Soap spoilers have revealed Millie will be hit over by a horse and be hospitalised.

This is when Graham quizzes the dates of Millie’s birthday to the date he and Andrea slept together.

Will Graham find himself a father?

Emmerdale airs weekday evenings at 7pm on ITV.
