Cheyann Shaw dead: Fitness community in mourning as influencer loses cancer battle at 27 | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The fitness community are mourning the loss of social media influencer Cheyann Shaw, after her family announced she lost her lengthy battle with cancer. She was 27-years-old.

The former bodybuilder was diagnosed with the ovarian cancer back in 2016, and had undergone gruelling chemotherapy before having surgery to remove her spleen, appendix, uterus and part of her colon.

She had once said that she was diagnosed with cancer by “accident”, but noted that “that accident saved my life.”

One year after her surgery, she delighted fans by announcing she was cancer-free before sharing the devastating news in a candid video on 15 January 2020 that the disease had returned, and had been found in four of her lymph nodes.

In an emotional post, her family took to her Instagram account, which boasts 244k followers, to share the terrible news.
